Herdbookbreeding.
In 1989, importer Roelof van den Berg from IJsselmuiden has imported the French champion cow ULA to the Netherlands. In December 1989 during the National show, Ula became champion of the Netherlands. At that moment ULA was pregnent of the Tresor son Acteur. On the 18e of juni 1990, ULA give birht to here calf Fantastic.

In May 1992 the heifer Fantastic has been bought by the company Erve Wiecherdinck and allmost directly used for embryo transplantation. Embryo transplantation is carried out by the veterinarys Freek Lok and Bert Schutte from ETS-Holland in Dronten.
Fantastic has been flushed with several top sires.
Used sires are: Nestor, Dizier, Cresson, Vaillant, Van, Condor, Empire, Eusephos, Ferrari ET.
The major part of the obtained embryos has been used at own company in crossbreeding cows or ordinary milk cows. Besides using embryos for the own company, some embryos of Fantastic have been sold to Zimbabwe.
Fantastic
has become the title Excellent Herdmother.
Beside Fantastic, also some of her daughters have been used for embryo transplantation.
Particularly the Nestor-daugther Ideale has been used many times for ET.
Sires who are also used for that perpose are: Cancan, Ramo, Leo, Aubin, Hublo, Sazeau, Bazooka, Dizier, Apollon and Ferrari ET.
The cow Ideale gives well musculed, heavy animals with plenty of milk. Meanwhile she also obtained the title Excellent Herdmother.

By means of the many embryos from this cow, the famous sire Nestor presses now and in the future a heavy stamp on the composition of the blonde livestock. The complete Blonde d'Aquitaine herd of 75 animals, exists from breeding by Ula - > Fantastic - > Ideale

During the National show in november 2003, Thomas, the Leo-son from Ideale has been chosen as the young bull with the best beef performances. Thomas has been sold to another breeder. The sire is now working as a herdsire. Meantime he has about 150 daugthers and sons.

In combination with breading farm The Reddhill LTD, the Ideale-daugther Ula (father cancan) have been used for embyo transplantation with the well-known sire Mars. This sire weighted 1.800 kilo's at a age of 9 years. Meanwhile the first female calves from this combination are present on The Reddhill LTD and on Erve Wiecherdinck.
Our goal is to breed an animal with a good skeletal and musculare develoment. The animals must have a good character. To reach this goal, we make use of artificial insemination. This way, we can mate each cow with the best fitting sire. Chosing a sire, we look carefull at the bloodlines of a sire.
Sires of the Midatest-program and private sires are used.
In 1995 semen is gained from our own sire Ferrari ET by KI de Toekomst. Ferrari ET is a product from the excellent breeding combination Dizier x Idole (father Baricaut) There is semen available for export all over the world.
Also out of this bloodline are the sires; Bazooka, Conder en Arlequin.
Ferrari ET is a bull with many qualities. His semen is very fertil. His daugthers are heavy and complete animals.

Nearly all calves remain the first year on the farm. After a year, a selection is made. Beef are herdbull.
The herdbulls find their way to colleague breeders. The other bulls are sold for meatproduction. Every year two bulls are used for house-slaughtering. The beef is sold and a part we eat ourself.
The heifers are used for replacement of the herd. Some are sold to other breeders. Last year some of them are sold for export to Poland.
The entire Blond d' Aquitaine herd consists on own bred animals. At the basis of this herd stands the two times French National champion cow ULA
